The Gospel

There Is Hope in Jesus Christ

You do not need to understand church language or have your life in order to read this page. It is written plainly, for anyone.

Who is Jesus?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He came into the world, lived a sinless life, taught the truth about God, healed and restored people, and gave His life so that we could be reconciled to God.

Why do we need salvation?

Every one of us has fallen short of God's perfect standard. We cannot fix that on our own, no matter how hard we try or how good we appear to others.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”
Romans 3:23

God's love for humanity

God is not distant or indifferent. He loves people deeply, and He made a way for us to come home to Him.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”
John 3:16

Sin and separation from God

Sin means living apart from God's ways. It separates us from Him and leads to death. But that is not where the story ends.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Romans 6:23

Jesus' death and resurrection

Jesus took upon Himself what we deserved. He died in our place and rose from the dead, defeating sin and death so that we could be given new life.

Grace

Salvation is a gift. You cannot earn it, and you do not have to clean yourself up first. Grace means God gives freely what we could never buy.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast.”
Ephesians 2:8–9

Repentance

Repentance simply means turning — turning away from living our own way and turning toward God. It is an honest change of heart, not a performance.

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.”
Acts 2:38

Faith

Faith is trusting what God has said and receiving what Jesus has done. You do not need perfect understanding to begin — only a willing heart.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”
Romans 10:9–10

Forgiveness

When you come to Jesus, your sins are forgiven — completely. God does not hold your past over you.

New life in Christ

God does not merely forgive; He transforms. He gives new desires, new purpose, and a new beginning.

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
2 Corinthians 5:17
